For Artists

Call for Artists and Artworks: Art Realm Biennial, Summer 2028

The third edition of the Art Realm Biennial will take place from May to November 2028 on the first and third floors of the Lahti Museum of Visual Arts Malva. Proposed works may alternatively be sited in public spaces or other accessible locations throughout the Päijät-Häme region.

The theme of the 2028 biennial is A Wonderful Life.

Selected works will be chosen based on applications reviewed by a jury comprising representatives of Hämeenlinna Art Museum, Tampere Art Museum, and the Lahti Museum of Visual Arts Malva, together with invited experts from outside the visual arts field.

We invite artists to reflect on what a wonderful life is, what it could become, and how art – and artists –  can shape it.
